I Got it!

Throw after throw, I conquered the game. I was lightening fast....so fast that I think I had something better than cat-like reflexes...I had dog-like reflexes. Boy am I good!!! I wanted everyone to see that I had caught the ball each time so I would go around showing everyone. However, I didn't want to give it up. Why wouldn't my dad just find another ball to throw? That way I could add them all up. Little did dad know that I was making up a game of my own "Keep away from dad!" It's so fun, but somehow the Alpha of our family, DAD, always wins in the end.

Setting up

There is a lot of things to do to get a birthday party ready. Pa and my dad, Ryan, were in charge of blowing up as many balloons as possible. Then JJ would help put them around the room. There were balloons on the chairs, the cake table and everywhere else you could imagine.

Eventually they ran out of helium, but there were still tons of balloons. So, they decided to blow as many as they could and let the air compressor do the rest. There were so many they decided to cover the floor with them. In the mean time, they also decided to have a little fun!! Who knew that such hard work could be a blast.
PS. Sorry some of the photos are blurry. They get better so stay tuned.

Hanging with MY dad

I loved JJ's idea of hanging out with her dad so I decided to do the same thing. Since Grandma Beef Jerky was in my chair, I decided to join my dad on the comfy couch throughout the night. My mom once told me that she thought Grandma's couch was one of the most comfortable places in the world. While my mom was in college, she would come home to grandma's house and just lay on the couch for hours. It was the one place my mom knew she could get the best rest ever and take a break from her busy life. I think it's more than just the couch that makes it so relaxing, I think it's being around the ones you love!!! Thanks Grandma Beef Jerky for sharing your home, your couch, and your love!!

Heading Home

After they found their luggage, my family headed to the car so that could come home. I was so excited to meet my Aunt Doi. I hope she has beef jerky, just like my Grandma always does! If not, I will still love her! Family is such a wonderful thing!

P.S. If you look in the background, you will see my dad. He is so strong, they asked him to carry the balloons and flowers. He's such a great helper.

Moving Sidewalk

JJ, Pa, and Ryan used the moving sidewalk at the airport to get to the gate where my Grandma Beef Jerky and Aunt Doi would be arriving. They did not want to be late. JJ made sure she brought the USA flags and Grandpa even wore one of his USA shirts to welcome Doi to America. I wonder if we could get moving sidewalks for our neighborhood? That would be really fun!

Chase

You know, I have to take credit that I have taught my dad how to play with children. When JJ first arrived to America, she did not play with my dad much. However, at the zoo she played chase with him.

Chase is one of my favorite games that I have taught my good old dad!! By looking at the photos, I think that JJ might have won! Hope you had fun!
JJ, You can thank me later!

Celebrating Grandpa's Bday

For Pa's Birthday, my family went to the zoo. Unfortunately, they did not take me. They said that you are not allowed to take animals to the zoo. Go figure! It's a place full of animals. Who thought up that rule...it's just silly. Here is a photo of Pa with my dad. They were the tour guides for the day. They brought back photos for me to enjoy so I thought I would share them with my blog viewers.

JJ's Visit

JJ came to visit me a few weeks ago to celebrate my parents birthday and my Grandpa's 60th birthday. Here she is at my house with my dad. She is showing him her new princess coloring book. While she painted the pictures, I tried to steal her paints when she wasn't looking. It was a great game!

Hey Everyone,

However, since we were so busy, we have tons of photos to post. So stay tuned for awesome updates with the family. In the mean time, enjoy these photos of my parents who went to Shoguns for dinner and then to the play WICKED to celebrate their Birthdays (and Marcy's) with the Jackson 5!

JJ & Ryan

My dad was looking at a video clip of Uncle Paul's favorite game. JJ wanted to see too! At one point, JJ didn't know what to think of my dad since he's a little quieter than my mom. Now that they've got to know each other, they're great friends!

Come on in!

My family and I quickly greeted JJ and her mom, Bunny! She came with her Princess Suitcase and something in a Target sack. I wonder if that is for me!! You'll have to wait and see! (Stay tuned for tomorrow's post for the answer)

The way things ought to be

You know, there are also photos of the past with women working hard in the kitchen to make the family meal. It's about time men step up and start cooking for the wifes. What do they think is? 1950? Times have changed. Men need to be cooking with the oven mitts. My dad understands this, so he is being a role model for all other men in the world. I'm so proud!
(PS. Since I was so kind and uplifting, I think I deserve my own lobster and potato as a treat...don't you think dad! and mom!)

Bombs Away

I guess my dad really wasn't just joking that he was going to cook lobster for dinner. He put water in the pan and after a while this thing called steam started emerging. I wonder what will happen when he puts the lobsters in the pan. On a side note...I am feeling a little guilty that I said they both had to go. I don't think I understood the process. I didn't know that you BOILED a lobster. I'm only a dog! What do I know about cooking. SORRY FELLAS!
Remorsefully yours,
Sawyer

Frisbee

I have never really understood how to play the game of frisbee. I actually never even liked the toy at all. However, when my Aunt Christy came for Christmas she taught me how to play. I think it's pretty cool. She also taught my dad to play (though he said he already knew how). THANKS FOR TEACHING ME SOMETHING NEW AUNT CHRISTY!
