Now that's Crazy!!!!!

Since the children at JJ's party seemed to love my dad Ryan so much, my Grandpa thought it was only right that my dad take part in the dress-up events. So he grabbed the Pink Boa that my mom bought JJ and placed it on dad's neck along with a King's Crown. Dad didn't know why Grandpa got the Dr Suess hat. He thought it was a bit cooler than the boa he was wearing. Dad had one of the kids bring him a wand to try and change the situation. I wonder if it will work? Find out tomorrow.

P.S. Please don't tell my dad that I posted this photo on my blog. I don't think he wanted anyone else to see it. I can't imagine why.

Cake for Everyone

Well, almost everyone. My parents forgot to bring my piece home. I figured that since I was invited as a VIP guest, they would at least save me a piece. I think that maybe Grandpa ate my piece. Here he is with Grandma Beef Jerky and Aunt Doi celebrating with cake and ice cream. For some reason he is sticking out his tongue while Grandma is laughing. Is he mocking me??? You better watch out Grandpa. Next time you come to my house, I just might steal your food when you're not looking!!!

Setting up

There is a lot of things to do to get a birthday party ready. Pa and my dad, Ryan, were in charge of blowing up as many balloons as possible. Then JJ would help put them around the room. There were balloons on the chairs, the cake table and everywhere else you could imagine.



Eventually they ran out of helium, but there were still tons of balloons. So, they decided to blow as many as they could and let the air compressor do the rest. There were so many they decided to cover the floor with them. In the mean time, they also decided to have a little fun!! Who knew that such hard work could be a blast.

Check out this smile

No one can put a smile on JJ's face like Pa! I think after seeing these photos I realize the reverse is the same too...that no one can put a smile on Pa's face like JJ. In fact, I think JJ makes Pa smile so big that his teeth and hair fall out. They are definately best friends!

The Magic Touch

Princess JJ is a lot like Snowwhite. Not only do the animals gather in her presence (as seen yesterday), the plants grow to enormous proportions just to please her. In fact, the plants in her pool area grew so tall that they are able to provide shade for Princess JJ when she is swimming in the pool on a hot summer day. Pa decided to show JJ just how tall the plants had grown in just a few months.

The Royal Jester

Pa is always making sure that JJ is having a great time. He keeps her smiling no matter what it takes. Even if that means wearing this crazy and absurd hat. Oh the lengths he will go!!

JJ loves Pa

JJ just loves her Pa so much. No one can make her smile more than silly Grandpa. Here is a photo of them playing together. I think I am one of his favorite grandsons (he only has two), but I don't think I compare JJ. That's okay though, JJ is my favorite too!!!

Can you see her?

The plane arrived and people started coming through the gate. No one could see if Grandma and Aunt Doi were coming. So JJ got on Pa's shoulders to see if she could get a better look!

We're Ready!!!

My family got together to pose for a quick photo for my Aunt Doi's scrapbook. Everyone had they flags proudly waving....including my mom who was behind the camera. They were so excited!

Anxiously Waiting

Here is my Aunt Bunny, JJ. and PP waiting at the airport. They arrived at the airport gate early and had to wait for the plane. They made sure they had all the necessities....USA flags, flowers, balloon, and camera. Is it time yet??? We can't wait to meet our Aunt Doi!

Moving Sidewalk

JJ, Pa, and Ryan used the moving sidewalk at the airport to get to the gate where my Grandma Beef Jerky and Aunt Doi would be arriving. They did not want to be late. JJ made sure she brought the USA flags and Grandpa even wore one of his USA shirts to welcome Doi to America. I wonder if we could get moving sidewalks for our neighborhood? That would be really fun!

JJ's Carousel

JJ just loves the Carousel. During her third birthday party, she rode the carousel over 20 times. So grandpa knew she would love the animal carousel at the zoo. And he was right!!! After five times around, Pa decide he might ride a little too.

Grandapa's Favorites

Grandpa's favorite animal is the Eagle. Here he is with JJ in front of the bald eagle sign and JJ riding an eagle. Look closely to see four of Pa's favorite things below...JJ, Eagles, Harley Davidson, and the USA flag. Doesn't get any better than that on your 60th birthday!

Look closely at this photo. There's a beautiful animal with black hair. Can you find it?

If you were thinking it was JJ, the Monkey, you were wrong. It's a grizzly bear in the background. Pa lifted JJ up so she could see it up close and personal.

Gorillas

There creatures were JJ's favorite. They didn't monkey around!! JJ and her mother watched from a distance as the gorilla's played. The gorillas liked JJ so much they let her become one. She climbed up and sat on the back on the daddy gorilla. She's so brave.

Celebrating Grandpa's Bday

For Pa's Birthday, my family went to the zoo. Unfortunately, they did not take me. They said that you are not allowed to take animals to the zoo. Go figure! It's a place full of animals. Who thought up that rule...it's just silly. Here is a photo of Pa with my dad. They were the tour guides for the day. They brought back photos for me to enjoy so I thought I would share them with my blog viewers.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

I thought I would bring out one of my favorite 4th of July photos from last year. Here is JJ with her Pa and Ma!! In the next few days, there will be recent photos of JJ with her family this year. You can see how much everyone has changed!!

FYI...my Grandma Beef Jerky (JJ calls her Ma) travelled to Thailand today. Please pray that she has a great 3 weeks visiting family and friends. We can't wait until she comes home again! I love that Grandma!!

Happy Birthday PA!!!

Today is my Pa's 60th Birthday!

He is one of the youngest, most energetic people I have ever met in my lifetime.

Over the last year, my loyal blog viewers have seen many sides of my Pa. Let's review some of my favorite "Pa moments" to celebrate his BIG day!

As you can tell, Jorja Jane has really been able to tame my Pa.

He would gladly admit she has him wrapped around her finger. In fact, we have seen my Harley-riding Grandpa turn into a puppy, a taste-tester, a hair- dresser, and a chariot for Princess JJ.

The Most Important Part

When JJ read the book to Paul and Pa she talked about Jesus on the cross, his tomb where he was dead and had bruises on his face, and then he was ALIVE. In fact, my mom (Tricia) taught her a song..."He's alive, he's a-liii-iiive." (JJ now sings it all the time.)

When JJ got to a photo of Jesus talking to his disciples. She said..."Here's Jesus. And he said...." uh oh, my mom didn't tell her what Jesus said. So she looked at mom, looked at the book, looked around the room, back at the book, and finally said to Uncle Paul and Pa...

"Jesus said...look. I have holes in my hands. Wanna see?"

Pa - JJ's Favorite Person

It's no wonder that JJ loves Pa the most. He's always willing to be crazy and silly to make her smile. JJ thought it would be funny to give some of her new Easter stickers and Stretchy Bunny to Pa for accessories. He's so silly!
