Barclay and Grandpa Don

While Grandma Diana and my mom planted flowers, my dad and Grandpa Don had to entertain me and my Uncle Barclay. They knew that we wanted to be outside with the ladies so they decide to make a game with the tennis ball. Since I don't like to chase after tennis balls (only sticks), my dad got really creative. Tune in tomorrow to find out what game he invented.

Now that was fun

Barclay thought it was a blast to play ruff and tumble. However, he eventually wore down as did I. He went to tell his dad (my Grandpa Don) about all the fun he had. Then he plopped on a comfy below to rest. What a smart uncle I have!

Barclay

Here's the next verse of the song (hint: if you don't know the song, you have to listen to it to understand it better).

" Barclay's white fur and green hidden collar, Grandma with new toys that will make me holler, Grandpa has treats of all different flavors, These are a few of my favorite things"

{Original Lyrics: "Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes Silver white winters that melt into springs These are a few of my favorite things"}

To end the list of my a few of my favorite things, I just had to add these photos. Grandma Diana, Grandpa Don, and Barclay came to visit me over Martin Luther King Holiday. They brought with them many things for me to enjoy like 2 huge new toys and tons of tasty treats. There are so many fun photos that it will take more than one day to share with you. So get ready for more photos of My Buddy Barclay and Me.

Grandad and Mimi

Before we let Dallas, my parents went over for Christmas dinner at Granddad and Mimi's. It's a tradition to have Mexican food on Christmas day. Joining my family were my dad's Aunt Jill and Uncle Johan! After dinner, they got to play Scene It - Boys vs Girls. That's why they are all staring at the TV! Even though the men have two secret weapons (Johan knowing all the movie and Grandpa Don reading so the girls don't understand what's going on), the ladies still won! My parents said they had a blast. Meanwhile, Barclay and I rested and hung out together. Nothings better than hanging out with family for Christmas!

Enjoying the Scenery

After all the hard work, my dad and grandparents stopped and 'smelled the roses.' Doesn't it look great! Our backyard is so much more beautiful to look at. I just love it! My mom and dad come out all the time and enjoy the new scenery. Which means I get to do more of my two favorite things....be outside and hang with my parents!! Life gets better and better! Thanks for all of your help Don & Diana! (Here's a photo of our new flowers and umbrella)

Planting in the Backyard

My grandpa Don helped plant bushes on the side of the fence. He also worked hard to plant a Bradford pear tree to provide shade for me during the day (You can look at the archives about me enjoying the shade...it's towards the beginning on the blog). Doesn't his photo with the tree look like something out of GREEN ACRES!

Where’s Waldo…I mean Toby!!!

Toby enoyed the Christmas celebration as well. He got to sit with Don and Diana to open presents! Sometimes, he’s so still that you don’t even know if he’s there. Can you locate him in the picture?? He’s a real gift!!!
