Sawyer Meets Jorja Jane (JJ)!!

Sawyer got to spend the weekend with his cousin, JJ. They were both intrigued about each other, but showed it in very different ways. Sawyer tried to run around JJ and jump to greet her. However, she clung to her mom, Bunny, and made sure she was safe from "Ryan's puppy."

While at Frisco's house, Sawyer learned that bells on the door could help him tell others he needed to go outside. Shortly after the bells were purchased, he grabbed them and took them to his favorite chair. Needless to stay, the sound startled him and he barked at the bag. Luckily, he's grown to love them and proudly rings the bells whenever he wants to go outside to potty (Yeah! He's pretty much potty trained) or to go outside to chase June bugs in the evening.

"I've got my eye on you."
While at Frisco's house, Sawyer discovered a bone. On the inside, it was beef flavored. So he got one of his own. For some odd reason, he didn't like it. Ryan thought it was because he couldn't get into the tasty middle. Tricia thought was because it was given to him while Ryan cut his nails. Either way, he spends most of the time barking it. Just by looking at the picture you can tell he means buisness!

ODE TO RYAN

Sawyer would like wish Ryan a Happy 27th Birthday!!
To celebrate, he selected some of his favorite
(never before published photos) of he and Ryan!!!

Sawyer would like to thank Ryan for always cuddling with him. He especially appreciated it when he was first adopted and a little scared. Ryan made it feel like HOME!!!

When Sawyer was big enough to go for his first walk, he was glad to have Ryan nearby when the neighborhood dogs got out of their yard. Though frightened, Sawyer was relieved when Ryan sheltered him. Thanks Ryan for always being the protector! He hopes that someday when he gets big, he will share in the duties.

Sawyer will never forget the times he and Ryan shared playing. Here Sawyer stuck is sticking out his tongue while playing with Ryan on the floor. Sawyer thinks Ryan is a blast to be around!

Sawyer also appreciates the time that he can rest and relax next to his favorite person. Whether resting after the watching the NBA Finals or taking a Sunday nap, it's always better to snoze knowing that those you love are never far away!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!!!

Sawyer can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays together!!

Sawyer would like to appoligize for the temporary delay in blog entries. He was unable to post due to technical difficulties (AKA he chewed the internet cable outside and it wouldn't work to download posts or pics). Things are now back to normal. He can't wait to tell you about his time with JJ. He would also like to send a shout out to his new friend, Jentry!!!

Sawyer had a terrific time with Mitz and Frisco. However, the next day he was pooped. He spent most of the day on the couch recuperating. He can't wait to hang out again!!

Tuesday, June 20, 2006

Chasing Mitz was so much fun for the boys (Frisco and Sawyer). Even though she was the smallest dog by size, she was able to bark high enough and loud enough to let them know who was in charge. Sawyer had a blast playing with his pals!

Sawyer's First Playdate!!

Sawyer got to meet his new friends Frisco (Doberman Pincher) and Mitz (Jack Russell). Frisco shared his favorite toy with Sawyer. Don't let the pictures fool you. He was scared to death!! Sawyer would bark to get both of his friends excited, but when they came running he dropped to the grass and submitted to them.

Contest Winner

The verdict is in!! The contest was neck and neck for a long time. With a vote of 3-2, here is the story that won the contest for this picture's blog entry. Thanks to all those that voted!!

One of Sawyer’s favorite places in the house is the couch. He loves to sit in the middle section between the two sides where Ryan and Tricia sit. He can be very protective of “his” spot. Since puppies can’t talk, I guess this is his way of saying...”MINE!”

Summer is finally here!! Sawyer loves to lay in the grass and lounge around. Can you believe how big he is getting? This is him after a long walk. He never forgets to stop to smell the...grass.

Sawyer is pleased to announce that his Aunt Shannon was the first to the pit stop (to make a comment). He looks forward to seeing her!
Poor Little Sawyer…he’s so sad. He is holding a contest on his blog and no one has responded. He wants to make sure that people are checking his blog regularly. In fact, he likes the comments read to him every night before he sleeps. So please, please, please help support Sawyer by posting a comment under the previous blog or emailing a comment to paduit@hotmail.com
How can you resist those puppy eyes?!?!

ATTENTION: YOU, THE READERS, ARE ASKED TO GIVE FEEDBACK ON THIS POST

(Instructions: There were two story options for this photo. Pick which one your think best fits the picture and let me know via comments or emails. I will tally the results and the winning post will be reported at a later date. Stay tuned!!)

#1 – Sawyer often likes to run from one side of the couch to the other while crashing up against the cushions. To support Ryan in his softball league, Sawyer decided to coach him on how to slide into home base…and……he’s……SAFE!

#2 – One of Sawyer’s favorite places in the house is the couch. He loves to sit in the middle section between the two sides where Ryan and Tricia sit. He can be very protective of “his” spot. Since puppies can’t talk, I guess this is his way of saying...”MINE!”

3 months old

Sawyer is growing up quickly. Like other puppies, he spends his evenings roaming the living room hunting for anything new to play with. On this particular night, he was worn out after his long walk. He became quite attached to the twist he was chewing in the picture. If someone left the room, he followed with his twist held firmly in his mouth until it was completely chewed. It was a site to see!

On the way home from Dave and Corrie's house, we stopped by Subway. When we came back to the car, Sawyer was sitting in the driver's seat ready to go. Here is looking out the window waiting for Ryan to bring the sandwiches. We didn't have the heart to tell him that he didn't get to have one of his own. At least he enjoyed the ride!

Snarf, Snarf, the wonder cat. I’m so glad you’re not a bat, or rat, or g-nat. (Song from Beaches)

Here is Sawyer with Dave and Corrie’s cat, Snarf. The two became quite the pals. It’s reported that they stayed at least one feet away from each other at all times. Sawyer thought Snarf was the CAT’S MEOW!

While his parents were in LA visiting Shannon, Sawyer got to stay with two very special friends...Dave and Corrie. He really enjoyed his stay. He especially loved the two chairs in the living room. He played there most of the time and got quite attached to having his own seat (as you can tell). THANKS Dave and Corrie for giving Sawyer a Home Away from Home!

"I Heard That!"
Weimaraners are known for being alert. Sawyer is no exception. He could hear a pin drop from across the house. In this photo, he heard Ryan in another room. He quickly jumped to his feet to see what all the ruckus was about.

11 Weeks Old

At 11 weeks old, Sawyer discovered he could get onto the couch in his bedroom (AKA the computer room). He couldn't quite jump, but was able to pull his way up. He adores playing with his toys on the couch. Afterall...If you're going to play, do it comfortably.
