I DID IT!!!!

Okay, the moment you were waiting for.....I persevered and ate through the center of the bone to break it into 2 pieces. What's more extraordinary is that it only took me about 1 1/2 hours!! From now on, you can call me SAWYER THE GREAT instead of SAWYER THE DOG!!!

Did I mention....

That I LOVE this bone!! It is awesome. In fact, I did not want anyone to take it that I would take a short nap on top of it. It gave me a chance to adore my new present as well as protect it!!!

My Favorite Toy

My Favorite toy is actually a bone. I love to eat the bones and leave small portions to hide around the house. I especially love hiding bones in the leather couch even though it's hard to cover. If you look at the picture, you will see our Christmas tree. Hey....wait a minute...where are the presents????? Santa better not forget me!!! I've been a good dog!!!

Toys Toys and More Toys

This will be my very 1st Christmas EVER!!! I heard that you get toys for Christmas! I am really excited. However, I wonder why I need more toys. I already have a ton. Here is a picture of some of the toys I play with now....I love to drap them out all over the house. It's more fun that way. A dog could never have too many toys!!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

It's only a few days until Christmas. I heard that it might be a WHITE CHRISTMAS! A few weeks ago, it snowed. We had just put up all our Christmas decorations. I thought it was time for Santa to come. So I sat in my chair waiting for him. I wonder what he's going to bring me!!!

On a Sad Note

On a sad note, I was taken to the vet for surgery just prior to Thanksgiving. I didn't even see it coming. The vet did some special type of surgery called neutering. I was not too happy about the situation. The vet's office told my parents I was pretty vocal prior to the surgery...I would cry or bark at everything that made a sound. However, after the surgery I was a little groggy. Here I am with my bandage from the IV. I am happy to report that it only took me one day to recover. By the next morning, I was up and ready to play just like my usual self. I hope I never have to go through that again.

Jorja Jane, Acrobat Extraordinaire

JJ loves to flip! She does it all the time with her dad. Grandpa thought he would be a great acrobat partner as well. Do you think she's enjoys flipping? I think the look on her faces says it all. She could flip all day if you would let her. It probably helps that she got to go to the circus and see lots of cool things.

Beef Jerky....FOR ME

I've heard that Grandparents like to spoil their grandchildren. Well, it's true with granddogs too!!! My Grandma Pat was so nice to me. I would sit at her sit while she was eating beef jerky. She thought I was being so sweet that she couldn't resist letting me have a taste. Boy, I sure had something to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving. It's one of the only people foods I've ever been able to taste. It was absolutely delicious! Thanks Grandma!!!!

One Sleepy Family

I had so much fun playing with my Uncle Matt. We played chase, tug-of-war, and wrestling. He is super cool! At the end of night, we were both pooped. When the rest of the family watched the movie "Cars," we took a brief nap. However, we weren't the only ones resting, JJ and Pa (Grandpa Bob) were spotted a few times with their eyes closed.

JJ & Parents

Here are two of my favorite photos of JJ. She loves to read with her dad, Matt. She also found something cool in my house....the canary chair. She thought it was a neat to bounce in. However, she was a little scared to bounce alone so she asked her mommy to sit with her. WEEEEE! I'm next!

"Sneaky"

Grandpa Bob and Grandma Pat taught JJ the meaning of the word "Sneaky." She learned it extremely quick. It was her favorite word of the weekend. Here she is being "Sneaky" outside. I think she wanted more Beef Jerky and was trying to avoid me. She's so cute in her OU clothes...GO SOONERS!

BEEF JERKY!!!!!!

Grandma Pat makes the best Beef Jerky and Jorja Jane (JJ) loves to eat it. For this one time only, she was allowed to eat while not at the table because there was so much going on in the kitchen preparing for Thanksgiving Dinner. So JJ started eating the best smelling thing in the world. I quickly figured out that she wasn't that tall and I could steal it from her. So I followed her. What a site!!! We walked in circles around the coffee table with JJ's hand in the air holding it away from me. This was her breaking point were she finally said "No Sawyer. Not yours." Man, they've trained her well.

Taste Tester

Every good chef knows you have to test the food to make sure it's just right. So, JJ asked her favorite person, her Grandpa Bob, to taste test the Deviled Eggs. He said they were perfect!!! So, Grandpa Pat and JJ finished stuffing the mixture into the eggs! What a great helper!

JJ, The Little Chef

JJ is a wonderful chef. It's pretty ironic that the Little Angel is a pro at making Deviled Eggs. First, she had Aunt Tricia (AKA my mom) boil the eggs. Then together, they peeled the shells off. Grandma helped them cut the eggs with her secret trick.....sting. {DON'T TELL HER I GAVE THE SECRET AWAY.} JJ made sure that every egg yoke was smashed before adding the other ingredients. Doesn't she look serious? She a perfectionist!!! And she's perfect!

Thanksgiving with the Duits (and Williams)

For the Duit/Williams/Burk Thanksgiving, my parents hosted dinner at our house. It was their first time ever to host! Here are the women in the family up bright and early (without makeup) getting the feast ready. You can tell that every female was involved....including my best friend, Jorja Jane!!!!

Woof! Woof!

That's all I have to say about that!

Did I do that?

When my parents weren't looking, I got on their bed and pulled all the covers off. They have extra soft blankets under the covers that are my favorite. Once I pull all the blankets off, I try to throw them over my head. Then I have to find my way out. It's so much fun. Sometimes, my parents join in on the fun! But during this photo, it was all me!!

The Perfect Pillow

I quickly realized that I had found the perfect pillow on the guest bed. It is just my size. It is little, round, and leopard print. What more could a dog want!

My Gentle Side

Though I look fierce and ferocious at times, I also have a sweet side. Here I am on the guest bed. My mommy told me I wasn't suppose to be on here ever, but I couldn't resist. One morning when she was getting ready, she caught me red handed. I was so cute that she didn't get mad, but took my picture instead!! Boy did I get lucky.

Fierce Dog

I might look sweet, but I can look like a LEAN, MEAN, FIGHTING MACHINE whenever I want to. Here I am showing Uncle Scott how scary I can be. I practice so that I can scare any intrudes away from my house. None have come at this point, but it's better to be 'safe than sorry.'

Uncle Scott

Here I am with my Uncle Scott. He has my favorite toy...my USA football. I stopped to take a photo between games of Tug of War. My Uncle Scott is so cool. He is lots of fun!!

My Friend Andy

This is Andy. He came to visit me a few weeks ago. This is his mom, Jeanette. You may remember Andy's photo when he stayed at my house for a while. He is really nice! Can you believe he is such a good dog that he can sit in the car like that. I haven't figured it out yet. I like to run back and forth in the backseat until my parents are dizzy. Maybe someday I'll calm down in the car...well, maybe!

Resting Dog

The previous photo was me on the couch in my bedroom (AKA computer room). It's very nice and comfy. When I am not in my cage, I like to 'catch a few zzzzz's' here! There are lots of pillows to hold my head up. Boy do I like comfort!!!
